This Privacy Policy explains how STOJANOVIC LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Pounce, including our website at https://pounce.food; our web app; mobile applications; SMS/text message alerts; waitlist; restaurant and user accounts; and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

The Services are intended for users located in the United States. Some features may be limited based on location, restaurant participation, or service availability.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you create an account, join the waitlist, or use our Services, we may collect information such as:

• Account information: Your name, email address, login method, and account-related identifiers we create or maintain to operate your account. If you sign in through a third-party authentication provider, authentication is handled through that provider and we receive only basic account information such as your name and email address.
• Phone number: Used to send one-time verification codes when you sign in, to text you about an order if you choose text at checkout, and to send food alerts if you opt in.
• Preferences: Whether you have opted in to order messages and to food alerts, and how you chose to receive your order confirmation.
• Location data: GPS coordinates if you grant permission through your device, used to show nearby restaurant deals, help you find pickup locations, and support optional map-based features. Location data is used only when you grant permission and can be disabled at any time through your device settings.
• User content: Information you submit or create through the Services, such as restaurant deal details, descriptions, pickup information, comments, photos, images, or other content you provide using the app.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect information such as:

• Usage data: Pages visited, session duration, and how you interact with the Services
• Device information: Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Log data: IP addresses and timestamps in server logs

Information from Other Sources

We may receive information from participating restaurants, food businesses, service providers, or publicly available sources in order to display restaurant deal information, food availability, pickup details, business information, images, or related content in the Services. We use this information to operate Pounce and help users discover available food deals. We do not control information provided by third parties and may remove or update such information at our discretion.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Send you one-time verification codes when you sign in
• Authenticate your identity and maintain your account
• Personalize your experience and show you relevant restaurant food deals, pickup options, and food availability
• Improve the Services and develop new features
• Monitor usage patterns and analyze trends in aggregate
• Ensure security and prevent abuse
• Develop, test, and improve features of the Services, including through automated or algorithmic systems.
• If you opt in, contact you about an order you have placed, including pickup details, reminders, updates, and a single follow-up after pickup asking how it went
• If you opt in, send you text alerts about food available through Pounce
• If you join the waitlist, send you email updates

SMS Notifications

Pounce offers one-time codes that keep your account secure, and opt-in text message services that help you find and order food.

One-time verification codes. When you sign in, we send a one-time code to your phone number to confirm it belongs to you.

Order messages. If you choose to hear about your order by text at checkout, we send you messages about that order — pickup details, reminders, updates, and a single follow-up after pickup asking how it went. These messages are automated and recurring, and message frequency depends on how often you order.

If you prefer not to receive order confirmations by text, you can choose email instead. We require at least one contact method when you reserve your order so that we can contact you in case there are any updates or changes.

Food alerts. If you opt in, we send you automated, recurring text alerts when food is available through Pounce. Message frequency varies based on food availability.

Terms that apply to these messages. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not required to use Pounce and is not a condition of any purchase. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP, contacting us, or emailing lorae@pounce.food.

Pounce does not use SMS to send advertisements for products or services that are not available through Pounce. Pounce does not sell, rent, share, or disclose your mobile information, including your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in status, or SMS consent to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

How We Share Your Information

We share your information only with service providers necessary to operate the Services:

• Twilio: Processes phone verification codes
• Telnyx: Sends and receives text messages
• Amazon Web Services (AWS): Hosts our infrastructure and stores data on servers in the United States
• Google Analytics: Provides aggregate usage analytics
• Mapbox: Powers the interactive map

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and secure storage. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your information:

• Opt out of SMS: Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop receiving text messages.
• Delete your data: Contact us to request deletion of your account and personal information
• Control location access: Manage location permissions through your device settings

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services or comply with legal obligations. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal information from our active systems, though some data may remain in backups or logs for a limited time. Session and log data may be retained for operational purposes, troubleshooting, and security monitoring.

Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
